Flapjack
270g butter
90g soft brown sugar
225g butter
405g oats ( small porridge oats)
Put sugar, syrup and butter in a heat proof bowl and microwave until the butter in melted. This stage can also be done in a pan
Stir into the oats and press into a lined tin
Bake for 20mins at 160 fan
Leave to cool in the tin before taking out and cutting up
This makes a dense chewy flapjack. For a crunchy buttery flapjack use jumbo oats and bake for 25mins
